I can name the characters in a story

Image
Today we read the story: "The Gingerbread Man" and talked about what characters are in the story.  We listened to the story and looked at the pictures to discover that characters are the people or things in the story that have role in the main storyline.  If there was a duck in the background, we knew that it was just a background picture, rather than an important part of the story.  In our visual journals we drew at least two characters that we remembered from the story.  Today we focused on using detail, colour and trying to label our pictures with the first letter of the character! We will be learning more about story elements, so please stay tuned! Reminders: -Return library books for tomorrow! -This Friday PM Kindergarten attends -Classes will be going outside for gym this week. - As the weather gets colder, please ensure your child is dressed properly for outdoor weather.
