I can measure my stuffy!

We had a fun day today bringing a stuffy to school. They all did great on their first experience in kindergarten and we were great role models to help them show good listening, respect and follow expectations. We measured our stuffies today using different materials around the classroom. We also compared our stuffies with one another and used math vocabulary like taller, shorter, bigger, smaller. 


Reminders:

**Please return all library books. We will not be having any more library book exchange for the rest of the school year.

-AM Kindergarten attends on Friday

-Friday June 21 - Indigenous Day Sharing assembly 9:30am. All families are welcome to attend.

-Wednesday June 26 - AM class last day

-Thursday June 27 - PM class last day. Please note the times 8:15-11:45am

  Hello families and welcome to our kindergarten blog! We will be updating this blog daily with what we have been working on and important information and updates about our class. Please check it regularly as this is our main form of communication with you. We had a wonderful first staggered entry day yesterday. Your children were absolutely wonderful and they did so great! Thank you for your help in prepping them for this milestone. Ask your child to share with you some of the things they learned about the kindergarten teachers. We worked on practicing printing our name and drawing a picture of us on the first day of school.  We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday September 5 during our regular kindergarten hours. I can give my best smile for picture day

We got our photos done today, it will be neat to compare them to our first photos we took at the beginning of the year. I can see how much I've grown! We have been working on a couple of letters this week. Parent Teacher Conferences The March conference is an opportunity for teachers to share learning progress with families and highlight key next steps in the learning progression for the remainder of Term 2.  Parents/guardians will book their 15-minute conference time on-line using their MyCBE/PowerSchool Account. I can celebrate Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day!  Today we decorated paper bags so that our friends could mail us valentines!  It was so much fun handing out special cards to all my friends.  Please check out the note that is attached to my bag for some activity ideas!
