I can learn about a special Indigenous artist

Today we learned about the Indigenous artist Norval Morrisseau.  We looked at his artistic style and created our own bison art.  Over the last little while we have been learning about the importance of Bison in Indigenous communities and how it represent RESPECT.  When we look at the buffalo, we are reminded of how the Indigenous communities would use every part of their bodies, never wasting any part and how we can show that same respect to the things around us.  We used pencil, permanent markers and pastels to create a colourful bison in Norval Morrisseau's style.  Please ask me about my picture!  Here is the bison picture that we modelled our art after!
