I can practice for a lockdown safely and quietly

Welcome back!  We hope everyone had a fun and relaxing Fall break.  Today we learned about the number 7.  We practiced different ways to represent the number 7.  Please practice writing the numeral and word with me at home!

This afternoon we had our first school lockdown practice.  The morning kindergarten will talk about this on Friday.  We did an excellent job quietly meeting in our lockdown space, sitting in complete silence and waiting for the police officer and Mr. Magowan to let us know the lockdown is finished!

Here is as song that helped us learn about lockdowns and why we do them!

Reminders:

-AM Kindergarten Attends this Friday

-Library tomorrow - please return books

-As the weather gets colder, please ensure your child is dressed properly for outdoor weather. This includes snow pants, jacket, toques, mittens/gloves. We have recess every Tuesday and go outside to the playground unless it is -20 below.

-We ask that parents refrain from using the parking lot for pick up and drops offs, as it is a safety concern as students are arriving and being dismissed in that area.  There are many people in the area and may not be visible. We thank you for helping us keep our community safe!
