I can run like Terry Fox

AM Kindergarten:

We attended the Terry Fox assembly that was hosted by the Grade 2's We have loved learning about Terry Fox and how he can help us remember to never give up. Today we ran like Terry around the school field with our grade 4 buddies. Ask me to tell you how many laps I did!

Today we also talked about what boundaries are. We listened to a video and learned that we all have our own space and bubble and how others can respect our boundaries. Ask me to tell you what I can say if  someone is making me feel uncomfortable, not safe because they are crossing a boundary.

***We are asking for pumpkin donations - If you are able to donate any size, colour and type of pumpkin for our October activities, that would be greatly appreciated!  Please send any donations with your child when they come to school :). Thank you so much!

-Library days are every Thursday, please return books by Thursday.

  Hello families and welcome to our kindergarten blog! We will be updating this blog daily with what we have been working on and important information and updates about our class. Please check it regularly as this is our main form of communication with you. We had a wonderful first staggered entry day yesterday. Your children were absolutely wonderful and they did so great! Thank you for your help in prepping them for this milestone. Ask your child to share with you some of the things they learned about the kindergarten teachers. We worked on practicing printing our name and drawing a picture of us on the first day of school.  We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday September 5 during our regular kindergarten hours. I can give my best smile for picture day

We got our photos done today, it will be neat to compare them to our first photos we took at the beginning of the year. I can see how much I've grown! We have been working on a couple of letters this week. Parent Teacher Conferences The March conference is an opportunity for teachers to share learning progress with families and highlight key next steps in the learning progression for the remainder of Term 2.  Parents/guardians will book their 15-minute conference time on-line using their MyCBE/PowerSchool Account. I can celebrate Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day!  Today we decorated paper bags so that our friends could mail us valentines!  It was so much fun handing out special cards to all my friends.  Please check out the note that is attached to my bag for some activity ideas!
