I can draw my family

Today we talked about who is in our family.  We counted the number of people that live in our house and drew a picture of them in our visual journals.  We read Todd Parr's family book to get some ideas for our pictures!  Please ask me about my picture.


This week we focused on the letter M - Please practice printing the letter M with me!  We also brainstormed all the different words that start with M.  See if you can find things around the house that start with M!





***Today you will notice that the PM Kindergarten students did not come home with a library book.  The librarian was away,  so we will take out new books next week - We apologize for the inconvenience!

Reminders:

*** As the weather is getting cooler and students are wearing more outdoor clothing, we kindly as that you practice building independence at home with your child.  Practicing putting on jackets, zipping them up as well as backpacks are skills that we are focusing on.  

-Library days are every Thursday, please return books by Thursday.

-PM Kindergarten attends Friday - no school for AM Kindergarten

  Hello families and welcome to our kindergarten blog! We will be updating this blog daily with what we have been working on and important information and updates about our class. Please check it regularly as this is our main form of communication with you. We had a wonderful first staggered entry day yesterday. Your children were absolutely wonderful and they did so great! Thank you for your help in prepping them for this milestone. Ask your child to share with you some of the things they learned about the kindergarten teachers. I can give my best smile for picture day

We got our photos done today, it will be neat to compare them to our first photos we took at the beginning of the year. I can see how much I've grown! We have been working on a couple of letters this week. Parent Teacher Conferences The March conference is an opportunity for teachers to share learning progress with families and highlight key next steps in the learning progression for the remainder of Term 2.  Parents/guardians will book their 15-minute conference time on-line using their MyCBE/PowerSchool Account. I can celebrate Valentine's Day

Happy Valentines Day!  Today we decorated paper bags so that our friends could mail us valentines!  It was so much fun handing out special cards to all my friends.  Please check out the note that is attached to my bag for some activity ideas!
